The other day I took an out of the blue drive up to Seven Springs to check out the mountain bike trails to see if anyone was out. I went up pretty late and their was a lot of riders wrapping up their day. There was also a nasty storm rolling in.
My brother came with me and we rode the lift up and started our walk down along side the bike trails. We weren’t even half way down the North Face of the mountain when the lighting and thunder started. Not minutes after the rain started, I remember saying these rain drops are huge and I don’t think none of them have touched me. Of course I spoke to soon, cause the skies opened and soon enough me and Ryan were sprinting down Seven Springs steepest mountain face hoping either of use would fall with all my gear. By the time we reach Ryan’s truck we were soaked.
I plan on making the trip up again earlier in the morning and with my speed lights to capture some more.
